Eligibility Criteria for Teaching Job:

There are 5 levels of Education field in India Preschool, Primary, middle, secondary, and higher secondary. Each department needs different qualifications. Candidates also need to clear the entrance exams that been arrange by the State or Central Government.

• Primary Level Teachers- This is considered as the lowest level of the Education board. The applicant will be hired as Primary school Teachers. To be eligible for this post candidates must have passed their class 12th with a certificate of full-time D.Ed from a recognized University. Also, candidates should successfully be passed the West Bengal Teacher Eligibility Test (WBTET).

• Secondary Level Teachers- This is the category where the candidates with Graduation can apply. From class V to class VII is come under Secondary Level. As the Primary Level, the applicant should be passed the WBTET exam for this post too.

• Higher Secondary Level Teacher- This vacancy would fill up with the West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) exam. It is compulsory for an applicant to have a B.Ed degree in any respected subject from any recognized University.

• University Professors- Master Candidates with compulsory B.Ed are eligible to apply for these posts. West Bengal Government will hold a National Eligibility Test (NET) to select worthy candidates for this.

Entrance Examination for Teachers Job

TET (Teachers Eligibility Test): It is a state-level teaching entrance examination organized by the state government. Candidates who will be able to qualify this test are appointed in the Preschool & Primary department from class I to V.

SSC Examination: This examination conducted for Secondary and High Secondary level Teacher recruitment.

NET Exam (National Eligibility Test): The National Eligibility Test, also known as UGC NET or NTA-UGC-NET, is the test for determining the eligibility for the post of Assistant Professor and/or Junior Research Fellowship award in Indian universities and colleges.
